Sorry for you loss, but take comfort in knowing the great number of lives he touched and taught through his life. He was greatly respected by many, I never heard a unkind remark about him. I know my parents always looked up to him, as did I as a high school student in Wellston

To Mrs. Willis, Rhonda & Mike,
Sad to hear of my favorite coach passing. I love Mr. Willis what a great man, he always went above and beyond to help us Ealom girls picking us up for practice and sometimes giving us a ride home. A great man and fond memories of a lot of BB games, we never made it to state but it was not from a lack of trying! RIP Coach! Until we see you again!

Words cannot express the sorrow that I have for the Willis family. Don Willis was a great man, teacher, mentor and many things to alot of people. He always had a kind word for you and always an ear to listen. Rhonda, Mary and Michael may God see you this sorrow. Know in your hearts he is in a better place. He is forever imbedded in your hearts and all of those who loved him.

Mr. Willis was my coach, principal, boss (I worked in his office) and later in life my friend. My trips to Wellston were always made better whenever I visited with him! Wellston and the world has lost a great man! RIP Coach!

There just aren't enough words to describe how so many people were affected by Mr. Willis. He made such a big impression on lots and lots of students over the years. He will be sorely missed but what a reunion he's having in heaven.
