Dakota Blake Keeton was born September 1, 1999 in Ardmore and passed away following a traffic accident July 7, 2016 at the age of 16.

Dakota was a kindhearted young man who was helpful to all who knew him.  His was a Stroud High School Student involved in many sports and extracurricular activities including football, basketball, baseball, swimming, soccer, FCCLA and FFA.  He enjoyed riding his dirt bike including trips to and from his Nana’s house.  Dakota was a member of the United Pentecostal Church of Stroud where he was baptized.  He was a great son, brother, and friend who took care of his Nana along with many others in his family circle.

Dakota was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Earl and Vinita Danker; and great-aunt, Marcella Evans.  Survivors include his parents, Landon and Crystal (Keeton) Rake of the home; sisters, Tyler Keeton, Zoey Keeton-Rake; brothers, Matthew Doty, Zane Rake; grandparents, Mike and Regina Neal of Stroud; uncle, Tim Keeton of the home; along with many other family and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, July 14, 2016 at the Route 66 Coliseum in Stroud.  Arrangements are under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
