Willa Mae Fisher was born on September 19, 1947 in Yale, Oklahoma to Laverne & Hazel Irene (Moffett) Fisher. She passed away on January 19, 2018 in Wellston at the age of 70.
Willa grew up in Wellston and attended Wellston High School. She lived in Wellston for her entire life. She worked for Cornerstone Hospital in Shawnee in the Pharmacy where she enjoyed helping people; and she was the employee of the year. She was well known for her love of mermaids.
Willa is preceded in death by her parents; son, Mark Flesher; siblings, Jimmy Fisher and Shirley Hill. Survivors include her children, Joseph Flesher of Seattle, Bonnie and her husband Bill Rains of Tecumseh, John Flesher of Tecumseh, Karen and her husband Jason Gabel of Kenmore, Washington; (6) grandchildren; along with many extended family and friends that she claimed as her own.
A memorial contribution can be made in Willa’s name to the Oklahoma City Zoo which held a very special place in her heart. The family will hold a private memorial service. Arrangements are under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
