Ellis Wayne Routh, 86, was born February 2, 1938 in Kendrick to John and Flossie (Morton) Routh. He passed away, exactly one mile southwest of the exact location he was born, February 18, 2024 in his home with his family at his side.
Wayne was a graduate of Kendrick High School with the class of 1956. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force stationed in France. Upon returning home he briefly sold Kirby Vacuum Cleaners until he started working in the Oilfield. Wayne met Marlene (Miller) and they married June 17, 1961 and raised 4 children together. Upon retirement he enjoyed working his garden and selling produce at the local farmer’s market. Wayne was a man of few words and always showed his love of his family through his actions.
Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, John and Flossie Routh; wife of 53 years, Marlene Routh; son, Brian Keith Routh; and all 6 of his siblings along with each of their spouses. Survivors include his son, Scott Routh of Billings; daughters, Sena Pribble of Chandler, Barbara Belanger and husband Jack of Yukon; daughter-in-law, Susan Routh of Tuttle; brother-in-law, Bob Miller (Fleta) of Mesa, AZ; (6) grandchildren, Stephanie Jensen (Damon), Cera Elizabeth Blair (Seth), Jacob Pribble (Abby), Dylan Wayne Routh (Celeste), Rebekah Routh-Hannon, Matthew McComb; (8) great-grandchildren, Robbie Blair, Benjamin Harris, Daniel Harris, Malee Blair, Joey Pribble, Eleanor Jensen, KyLee Fabian, JaCoby Fabian; girlfriend of 9 years, Janine Harkins of Pine Bluff, AR; along with other family and friends.
A graveside funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 24, 2024 in the Oak Park Cemetery in Chandler. Arrangements are under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
