Wayne Ross

Claude Wayne Ross was born June 22, 1960 in Oklahoma City to Johnnie and Lillie Mae (Cook) Ross.  He passed away December 19, 2021 in Muskogee at the age of 61.

Wayne was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, noodling, hunting and camping.  He loved his family and was always there when they needed someone to listen.  He loved his dogs as if they were his own children.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents; Johnnie and Lillie Mae; brothers, James Ross, Floyd Ross, Donald Ross and Bill Ross, Jr.  Survivors include his girlfriend and life partner, Samantha Tripp of the home; daughter, Courtney Ross of Midwest City; (4) grandchildren, Michael, Ryan, Isaiah, and Kalea; (2) sisters, Ruth Whiteman, Linda Purselley; along with other family and friends.

A graveside funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at the Rossville Cemetery.  Arrangements are under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
