Steven Dwayne Golden Obituary

Steven Dwayne Golden was born April 19, 1967 and passed away surrounded by his loved ones on December 26, 2022, at the age of 55.  Steve was baptized at a young age and always loved the Lord.

Being sick as a child, Steve learned to play indoors. He loved to draw and paint. At times when he was in the hospital, to keep himself busy he would paint. One of his hospital stays, when he was young, the nursing staff asked him to paint on the windows in the hallway. He became a tattoo artist for his friends and would whittle on wood to carve ducks.

He loved to cook one pot Hot dishes. His mom taught him the joy of sweets and baking. Steve was the proud owner of Ron’s Barber Shop for the last 15 years. His valued his customers with great joy. He took pride in his haircutting abilities. He was the best barber in town to give a flat top cut. He never passed up an opportunity to head out into the woods to go hunting or fishing. He always loved to travel anywhere for a guided hunting trip.  He liked to go on camping trips with his family and friends, where he enjoyed spending the day at the lake on his boat. He enjoyed days at home farming and tending to his cows. Steve always had a dream of owning a big farm and raising cattle. He got that chance in this last year of his life. And he truly loved it.
He was known for his goofy “Dad jokes,” sarcasm and witty sense of humor. He could never resist a joke that was "too soon.” His sense of humor and great personality left an impression on all those who knew and loved him.

We will remember him for his kind and loving heart, and his great personality. But more importantly we will never forget his love for salsa on every food group, and his snoring that would shake the whole house. He was the best Husband, Father, Papa, and Provider.

Steven is preceded in death by his mother; Susan (Packer) Golden, His father; Billy Golden, His brother; Troy Golden and his maternal and paternal grandparents.  He is survived by his soulmate Mary Ann White, his three daughters; Ciera Golden, Sienna Golden, and Nikki White, and his five granddaughters; Amora Atencio, Layla Gilpatrick, Ixis Atencio, Cecilia Garrison, and Thahlia Sarracino. And a host of other family and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, January 2, 2023 at the Assembly of God Church in Chandler under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
