Sheila Gayle (Ward) Danker

Sheila Gayle Danker was born December 10, 1959 in Oklahoma City to James E. and Erma Lou (Nelson) Ward.  She passed away February 8, 2021 in Edmond at the age of 61.

Sheila enjoyed working in her flower beds, taking her grandsons to the movies, and telling everyone else what to do. Sheila worked for the Oklahoma Military Department for 32 years and retired for a short period of time before returning to work part time.

Sheila was preceded in death by her parents James and Erma Ward, sister Jeri Carter, stepbrother Jason Cozort, niece Jacie Cozort and nephew Mitchell Cozort.

Survivors include husband Alfred Danker of the home, daughters Kim and husband J.J. Rackley of Wellston, Heather and husband Phillip Patterson of Wellston, three grandkids, Hollie Danker of Oklahoma City, Roper Rackley and Ethan Patterson of Wellston, and stepmother Joyce Ward of Pauls Valley, along with many other extended family members.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, February 12, 2021 in the Lehman Funeral Home chapel with interment following at the Wellston Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
