Sharon Ann Truesdell was born February 23, 1942 in Elk City, Oklahoma to Gale and Pearl (Lewis) Blankenship. She passed away March 5, 2020 in Oklahoma City at the age of 78.
Sharon was an angel to everyone that she knew. With a full heart she willingly gave her everything to her family. She was a timeless person who lovingly cared for her family before herself. She was the Matriarch of her family and will be greatly missed. She worked as a truck driver along side her husband, John for 42 years.
She often stated that she had a very blessed life and she knew where she was going when she left this earth. She enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a kind, constant, patient lady and life won’t be the same without her but she will remain in the hearts left behind to cherish her.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Gale and Pearl Blankenship; husband of 53 years, John C. Truesdell; son, James G. Truesdell; daughter, Jacqueline Truesdell; siblings, Charles Blankenship, Dean Blankenship, Kathy Pittman, Troy Blankenship; grandson, Jonathon Truesdell. Survivors include her (5) grandchildren, James G. Truesdell, Alicia Keating, Travis Truesdell, Jennifer Simerson, Kyle Truesdell; (14) great-grandchildren, Macie, Lilliana, James C, Chase, Ashley, Zoey, Carson, Joleen, James R, McKinnzie, Chloa, Holden, Naomi, Nathan; great-grandson Stetson Truesdell, her best friend of 61 years, Rosie Surber; along with other family and many friends.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 10, 2020 in the Lehman Funeral Home chapel with interment following in the Tryon Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
