Sarah (Ramirez) Vasquez

Sarah (Ramirez) Vasquez was born April 6, 1925 in Oklahoma City to Vincent and Regina Ramirez one of ten children.  She passed away June 24, 2021 in Oklahoma City at the age of 96.

Sarah worked at El Chico where she met her husband, Bernon Vasquez.  They were married November 29, 1947 and raised four children together.  She later worked at Roundup Café where she made the best pies.  Sarah loved spending time with her family and enjoyed her rose garden.

Sarah was preceded in death by her parents, Vincent and Regina Ramirez; husband of 60 years, Bernon Vasquez; granddaughter, Jessica Hornberger; and (8) siblings.  Survivors include her children, Ben Vasquez and his wife Donna of Cookson, Vicente Vasquez of Oklahoma City, Robert Vasquez and his wife Stacy of Chandler, Carmelita Pidgue of Oklahoma City; (4) grandchildren, Phillip Vasquez, Sonja Bohanan and her husband Mike, Jennifer Clanton and her husband Billy, Chris Vasquez and his wife Christina; (12) great-grandchildren, Spencer and Zane Vasquez, Hunter and Natalie Bohanan, Tallie and Aniston Hornberger, Makyla Bunch, Taylor, Mercy and Bradley Clanton, Christian and Charis Vasquez; and her sister, Mary Smith.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 29, 2021 in the Lehman Funeral Home chapel with interment following in the Oak Park Cemetery under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
