Sam Sparks Obituary
Samuel Richard Sparks, known to everyone simply as Sam, passed away on March 30, 2026, at the age of 89. Born on December 24, 1936, in Midwest City, Sam lived a full and remarkable life defined by hard work, family, and an unshakable love for the cowboy way of living. He was a resident of Sparks, Oklahoma, at the time of his passing.
He received a High School Diploma in 1954 and went into the Navy where he completed tours in Korea and Vietnam. Where he became a Pipe Fitter and Welder. He met his wife Pam in Pasadena, Texas where he was working as a Pipe Fitter. Sam’s love for nature was only matched by his love for his family and friends. An avid Hunter, Cattleman, Horseman and Fisherman, Sam spent much of his free time exploring the great outdoors. These adventures, often shared with family and friends, are cherished memories that will live on. Sam’s legacy is not just in the work he did or the adventures he undertook but in the lives he touched. He will be deeply missed. Samuel Richard Sparks’s story is a testament to a life well-lived, marked by love, hard work, and the cowboy way.
