Ruth Kate Makintubee was born July 21, 1928 in Burns Flatt, Oklahoma to Harold and Beula (Towns) Pullen. She passed away February 13, 2020 in Chandler with her family by her side at the age of 91.
Ruth worked as a fundraising coordinator with the Arthritis Foundation for over 45 years. She loved playing bridge, sewing house shoes, reading. She served as the director in the Quail Springs Baptist Church library for years when she was a member.
Ruth is preceded in death by her parents and; husband, Orville Makintubee; granddaughter, Kristal Sanders; survivors include her son, Steve Makintubee and his wife Betty of Chandler; grandchildren, Scott Makintubee and wife, Susana Dylan Makintubee; grandchildren Michele Hood, Michael Harris; great-grandchildren, Andrew Winn, Eden and Meadow Makintubee; along with other family and friends.
A visitation will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 pm Sunday, February 16, 2020 at the funeral home. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, February 17, 2020 at the Quail Springs Baptist Church with interment following in the Chapel Hill Cemetery in Oklahoma City, Reverend Roy Moody, officiating. Memorial contributions can be made in Ruth’s honor to the Oklahoma Baptist Children’s Home 3200 N May Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73112. Arrangements are under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
