Robert Eugene Reedy was born June 9, 1946 in Roswell, New Mexico to Everett and Jewel (Zink) Reedy. He passed away June 16, 2021 in Chandler at the age of 75.
Robert grew up in Chandler where he graduated from high school with the Class of 1964. He then joined the Oklahoma Army National Guard where he worked as a mechanic and ultimately became the shop foreman acquiring the rank of Master sergeant. He worked for 34 years in the National Guard until his retirement. Robert was passionate about farming and raising cattle which he did all over Lincoln County, including where Bell Cow Lake currently sits. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with family and friends and will be greatly missed.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Everett and Jewel Reedy; and brother, Douglas Thomas. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Paulette (Waters) Reedy; children, Sherrie Reedy of Carney, Nick Reedy and his wife Kristina of Chandler, Kyle Reedy and his wife Sasha of Broken Arrow; (4) grandchildren, Dakota, Aspen, Austin, Audra; siblings, Mary Ann Tremain of Kansas, Charles Reedy and his wife April of Missouri, Ronnie Reedy and his wife Debbie of Chandler; along with other family and friends.
A graveside memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 23, 2021 at the Osage Cemetery in Agra. Memorial contributions can be made in Robert’s honor to St Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital. Arrangements are under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
