Richard Lee Parrott, born May 27, 1956 in Louisville, Kentucky to Robert Parrott and Barbara (McGuire) Trammell. He passed away peacefully in Stroud on March 20, 2026 at the age of 69.
Richard was known for being a hard worker who was happiest when he was busy at work or doing something constructive. Richard worked in a variety of career fields over the course of his life, and most recently as a truck driver. He also enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle with his wife and best friend, Bertha. He enjoyed his two furry friends, Monty and Toby, who brought him as much comfort as he brought to them.

Richard is survived by: his wife of four years, Bertha Brookins of Wellston; sons, Robert Parrott, Jesse Parrott and Jared Parrott and his only daughter, Katie Parrott; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild; siblings include his brothers, Steve Parrott, James Trammell (Tanya), sisters, Deborah Karcher, Carolyn Underwood and Patricia Gipson; along with numerous aunts, uncles and cousins, predominantly from Kentucky, which had been Richard’s home for most of his life.
