It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of Randall “Randy” Lynn Bowen who was born May 8, 1963 in Oklahoma City to James Thomas and Billie Jean (Davis) Bowen. He passed away at his home in Edmond on May 17, 2021 at the age of 58.
Randy was a very loving and devoted husband, father, papa, and brother. Randy could always be found at the dealership but loved to watch NASCAR on Sundays. His passion was the car business, and he fulfilled his dream of owning his own dealership. He dedicated his life to providing customers with honesty, integrity, great customer service and most importantly always greeted everyone with a bright smile and made them feel they were instantly truly his friend.
Randy was filled with kindness, was soft hearted and extremely generous to anyone in need. He was a very respected and successful businessman, a provider to many, teacher, protector, irreplaceable and cherished father, papa, and friend. He was a man who never accepted "you can't" and never believed in giving up. Anyone who knew Randy knew him to be hard working, full of laughter and plain and simple salt of the earth. Randy and Diana shared a wonderful life filled with laughter, many blessings, and endless joys. One of those joys was that he and Jeromey were able to work side by side. His greatest gift was getting to be a proud Papa to Brody Randall and Kase Wayne. We will be forever grateful for our time with him.
Randy was preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Billie Jean Bowen. Survivors include his wife, Diana Bowen of the home; son, Jeromey Clayton and his wife Stacy of Edmond; grandsons, Brody and Kase Clayton; brother, Daryl Bowen and his wife Kristi of Chandler; along with other family and friends.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Sunday, May 23, 2021 at Lehman Funeral Home. Randy’s funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 24, 2021 at the First Baptist Church in Chandler with Reverend Rick Blackwell officiating. Private interment will follow later at Gracelawn Cemetery in Edmond. Arrangements are under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
