Phyllis Ann (Gray) Russell

Phyllis Ann Russell was born April 2, 1945 in Parkland, Oklahoma to John Brian and Murel (Hale) Gray.  She passed away February 9, 2021 in Meeker at the age of 75.

Phyllis grew up in Parkland and graduated with the Meeker High School class of 1963.  She enjoyed helping others, reading, traveling, watching old westerns and spending time with her grandchildren.  Phyllis worked as the secretary for Meeker High School and was a girls’ counselor and cook for Falls Creek Church Camp for many years.  Phyllis was a member of the Hazel Dell Baptist Church.

Phyllis is preceded in death by her parents, John and Murel Gray; brothers’, Fred Lee and Jack Gray.  Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Bill Russell of the home; son, Terry Russell and wife Rhetta of Duncan; daughter, Misty Blankenship and husband Shane of Meeker; (4) granddaughters, MyKenzee Russell, Maleah Blankenship, Mallory Blankenship, Myah Blankenship; along with other family and friends; special cousins, Betty Howard and Pam Boren.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 12, 2021 in the Lehman Funeral Home chapel with interment following at the Parkland Cemetery.  Arrangements are under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
