Phyllis Ann (Evans) Morton

Phyllis Ann (Evans) Morton was born December 5, 1941 in Warwick to Argyle Wayne and Juanita Mae (Hopkins) Evans.  She passed away May 2, 2021 in Chandler at the age of 79.

Phyllis married Gene Morton December 24, 1960 and they shared 58 years together.  She was saved around 1968 and taught Sunday School for 20 years.  Phyllis enjoyed music, arts and crafts, family get-togethers, shopping, flowers, dog and cats and other creatures including her pet skunk.  She also worked tirelessly researching genealogy at times requiring her to travel to accomplish her goals.  She loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, Argyle and Juanita Evans; brother, Don Evans; sister, Anita (Evans) Stidham; brother-in-law, MK Stidham; sister-in-law, Lorene (Dostal) Evans; son, Kirby Morton; and grandson, Garrett Kalka.  Survivors include her children, LaGina (Morton) Hodson and her husband Gary, Karmon (Morton) Cox and her husband Chad; daughter-in-law, LouAnn Kalka; sister, Janna (Evans) Stieber; brother-in-law, Jackie Stieber; (9) grandchildren, Jeremy Hodson and (Jolie), Brock Morton and (Aly), Aubrie (Hodson) Bayless and (Mike), Kimberly Morton and (Corey), Mariah Kalka, Stacie Ramirez and (Jake), Sam Cox, Ingrid Cox; (8) great-grandchildren, Trailee Morton, Kaden Morton, Maddox Morton, Carter Kalka, Oliver Klingengberg, Dakoda Klingengberg, Rylee Rameriz, Noah Rameriz.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 6, 2021 at the Lehman Funeral Home Chapel.  Arrangements are under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
