Nola Pearl (Rankin) Brooks was born March 1, 1929, in Grandfield, Oklahoma to John and Nola (Davenport) Rankin. She passed away December 12, 2024, in Chandler at the age of 95.
Pearl enjoyed tending her roses, serving with the WMU and Hospitality ministry at Mammoth, traveling all over with her friends, Dora, Etta and Rexanne in matching outfits, along with hosting friends and family in her home.
Pearl tithed to her church, supported several charities over the years, especially St. Jude’s Hospitals, local police, Boys Town and the American Heart Association.
Preceding Pearl in death are her parents, John Rankin and Nola McConnell; husband’s Lawrence Glenn Brooks and Wayne Leon Brooks; siblings, Roger, Dale, Shirley, and Glenda.
Survivors include her brother, David Coombs; 5 children, 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
A funeral was held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at Mammoth Baptist Church in Meeker followed by interment at 3:00 p.m. in the Fairview Cemetery in Apache. Arrangements were under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
