Patti Pixley

Patricia Gayle (Adams) Pixley was born May 31, 1939 in Okemah, Oklahoma to Clifton and DeWilma (DeWeber) Adams.  Patti was called home on July 4, 2021 in Oklahoma City at the age of 82 with her family by her side.

Patti loved her family dearly and always enjoyed spending time with them.  She will always be remembered for her kind and tender heart.  She enjoyed traveling, and hosting events for her friends and family.  Patti was the happiest when she was bringing people together. She worked at the Wesley United Methodist Church in Shawnee for 9 years as the church administrator. 

Patti was preceded in death by her parents, Clifton and DeWilma; husband of 22 years, Bobby Ray Pixley; sons’, John Scott Pixley and Robert Vic Pixley; siblings, Deanna Kay (Adams) Schmidt, Gary Ronald Adams, and John Earl Adams.  

Survivors include her daughter, Jennifer and her husband Paul Myers; son, Mark Pixley; grandchildren, Leahbeth Sears and her husband, Mike, Rena and her husband, Brandon Dow, Mark Robert Pixley, Jr and his wife Christina, Courtney and her husband Joshua Owczarek, Ariel Pixley, Samantha Pixley, Jonathan Terry Pixley and his wife Mary Beth, Joshua Wearmouth, Melody and her husband Greg Harrison; great-grandchildren, Darius Brown, Isaiah Brown, Jenae Harrison, Cody Payne, Asher Payne, Michaela Payne, Alden Dow, Sairdee Dow, Haddessah Dow, Claire Pixley, Mark Elliot Pixley, Rebekkah Owczarek, Cyrus Owczarek, Ryker Owczarek, Luke Owczarek; brother, Michael Adams and his wife Linda; sister-in-law Peggy Pixley; aunt Carrie Adams; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 9, 2021 at the Wesley United Methodist Church in Shawnee with interment following in the Wolf Cemetery near Bowlegs, Oklahoma.  Arrangements are under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
