With a heavy heart, the family of Patricia Jo, affectionately known as Patty, announces her passing  on May 3, 2025, she was 67 years of age.

Patty was born on the cold blustery day of January 13, 1958, in Williston, North Dakota, to her loving parents John and Jo Byford. She came home from the hospital to three older siblings that loved and carried her around as if she was their baby doll. 

Patty fought her brave battle against cancer with love, compassion, and respect.  Even during the hard days she endured, she never complained but showed appreciation for others who helped and supported her during the dark days and hours.

She was a fixture at the Davenport convenience store where she worked for over 30 years. She enjoyed her job because she was a people person.  She met and fostered many friendships that started during her time working at the convenience store. 

Patty enjoyed spending time with her family and traveling. In June 2024, she enjoyed her top bucket-list item, a train trip - Durango to Silverton through the beautiful Colorado mountains with her siblings and other family members.  It was a blessed time of fun, laughter, and much love. Patty has always said that her family and friends were the greatest love in her life. 

Patty is survived by her partner, Tony, her son, Ryan Byford (Bethani), daughter Nikki Dawn, (Ben) grandchildren: Mollee, Koree, Houston and Maloree, 4 great-grandchildren; step-daughter, Tasha, step-grandsons, Zenden, Kane and step-granddaughter, Nevaeh; sisters, Linda Fields, (Reggie), Joan Stout (Robert), Judy Britt, brother, Vann as well as many nieces and nephews that dearly love their Aunt Patty. 

When the Gates of Heaven opened for Patty, she walked through them with no pain and was met by her personal Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was reunited with her parents, grandparents, family, and friends that crossed before her.  Patty was loved bunches and bunches and will be missed bunches and bunches.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 24, 2025, in the Davenport First Baptist Church.  Arrangements are under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
