Nancy Lanette Johnson was born September 6, 1961 in Chandler to Kenneth Wayne Johnson and Martha Lou (Gaines).  Nancy passed away March 30, 2022 in Shawnee at the age of 60.

Nancy graduated from Chandler High School in 1979.  She then attended the University of Central Oklahoma where she earned a bachelor’s degree.  Nancy worked in the Meeker Public Schools as a teacher’s aide.  She later worked for Mabel Basset Correctional Institution as a counselor.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Martha Johnson; niece, Tiffany Johnson; aunts, Yvette Johnson and Lorie Johnson; and her great niece, Brooklyn Johnson.  Survivors include her loving son, Gabe Johnson; siblings, Larry Johnson, Jerry Johnson, and Mitch Johnson; nieces and nephews, April and her husband Mike Grayson, Garrett Johnson, Leah Johnson, Joseph Johnson, Crystal and her husband Scott Grubbs, Jason and his wife Nikko Johnson, Shelby Johnson, David Johnson, Keila Johnson; and her honorary niece, Tatje Alder.

Nancy’s will be laid to rest in the White Dove Cemetery in Sparks at a later date.
