Maxwell Brooks Ricketts, II was born February 16, 1941 in Ashland, Kentucky to Maxwell and Margary (Gee) Ricketts.  He passed away October 18, 2022 in Wellston at the age of 81.
Max had a great love of nature and hiking.  Hiking the Wichita Mountains, Sulphur, Oklahoma and Colorado were some of his favorite adventures.  He could out hike all of his friends and always saw it as a great challenge. Now he is on the greatest hike yet. 
Max was adopted by Dee’s family who loved him dearly; Rose, Mona, Dorothy, Mary, Ervin and all their children, Sharron, Kathy, Mike, David, Debbie, Vanessa, Lauri, J.R., Brian.
Max was preceded in death by his sons, Maxwell Ricketts III, David Arthur Ricketts; parents, Maxwell and Margary Ricketts; brothers, Burton Ricketts, Bobby Ricketts; sister, Josie Waters; family friend, Dadene Terry.
Survivors include his wife, Dee Ricketts of the home; daughter, Amy Clark; niece who was like a daughter, Connie Houger; grandchildren, Ashley and Angie; great-granddaughter, Calli; sister, Sue Matula; nephews, Chris, Tommy, Nicky; neighbors who were life family, Tom, Terry, Peggy, Don Muck; Godson Danny Rogers; God-Grandchildren, Luke, Heaven, Gabrial and Lucas. 
A funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 25, 2022 in the Lehman Funeral Home chapel are under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
