Margaret Ann Borgmier Griffin

Margaret Ann Borgmier Griffin was born in Yakima, Washington May 7, 1965.  She grew up in Guthrie, Oklahoma, where she made a large group of life-long friends.  Margaret moved to Oklahoma City in her early twenties.  She lived there until buying her first home in Chandler, which was where she was living at the time of her death.  Margaret was 58.

Margaret began her professional life as a hair stylist before moving on to pharmacy work.  She studied to become a pharmacy technician and became certified in 1994.   The last seventeen years of her career, Margaret worked for Hertz in Oklahoma City, primarily in the claims department.

Margaret loved all things furry and cute, especially cats.  She was passionate about her rock music, was an avid collector with a variety of interests, loved movies, and was very active on social media.

Margaret was preceded in death by her mother, Betty W. Borgmier Reiff; father, Robert C. Borgmier; stepfather, William H. Reiff, M.D.  Survivors include her son, Zachary A. Metcalf; grandchildren, Jensen A. Metcalf and Nola G. Metcalf; sister, Cathleen S. Borgmier; half-brother, Mark Borgmier; stepsisters, Kaethe Stella and Patricia H. Reiff; stepbrother, William C. Reiff; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Tulsa SPCA.  They have been instrumental in helping Margaret's cats.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am. Saturday, October 21, 2023 at Lehman Funeral Home in Wellston.  Interment will follow on Monday, October, 23, 2023, at 2:30 pm at Memorial Park Cemetery in Tulsa.  Arrangements are under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
