Laurie Bird (Strickland) Ebert was born on March 8, 1969, in Midwest City, Oklahoma to Martha Eileen (Webb) Beard and Charles Daniel Strickland. She went to be with the lord on December 27, 2019, at her home in Sawyer, Oklahoma at the age of 50.
Laurie grew up in the Oklahoma City metro area where she graduated high school from Putnam City West. She then went to City College and obtained her degree as a legal secretary. Laurie had many careers involving data management and Boeing was her favorite. In recent years she enjoyed her time with Edmond Public Schools, working with kids and managing the office in the maintenance department. She had exceptional attention to detail and keeping accurate records. When she was not working, she enjoyed crocheting baby blankets, amigurumi, and beanies. She did all of that while listening to documentary podcasts or her favorite shows on TLC and snacking with her newfound sweet tooth. She also loved being a Gigi, spending time with her grandsons, Colton and Viggo who would always brought joy to her heart.
Laurie was preceded in death by her son, Lane Ebert. Survivors include her husband, Jay Ebert of the home; daughter, Angelica and her husband Joshua Stewart; sons, David Montgomery and his wife Leesa; Michael Ebert and his wife Charlie, Christopher Ebert; grandchildren, Colton Stewart and Viggo Montgomery; sister, Julia Coash and husband Matthew; nieces, Katie Coash and Natalie Coash; nephew, Grant Coash; along with many other family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 3, 2020, in the Lehman Funeral Home chapel under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
