Obituary

Quania Ladon Baudizzon was born July 24, 1950 in Wewoka, Oklahoma to Aubrey and Opal (Brown) Leonard. She passed away April 27, 2023 in Prague at the age of 72.

Ladon was married to Rodney Baudizzon on March 22, 1996, in Stroud, Oklahoma. They lived the early days of their married life in Sparks, Oklahoma and later moved to Luther, Oklahoma. They loved traveling together and seeing the states. Ladon treasured her family, but she also enjoyed her well-loved furry animal family members, Hemingway and Zelda. She took great pride in cooking her famous egg rolls and fried rice that her family especially loved. Ladon had many talents but one that many might not know about was she was a great storyteller.

She could pull you in with her interesting stories of her childhood memories of being on the lake, or the days when she hung out with her high school friends, or her imaginative stories she would make up for her kids at bedtime when they were little. Her gift was how she knew exactly how to tell a great story. Ladon lived in the country most of her adult life where she enjoyed fishing, gardening and listening to the whippoorwill on warm summer nights. She was also fond of the ocean and relaxing on the beach.

Ladon is preceded in death by her husband Rodney Baudizzon, mother Opal May Leonard, Father Aubrey Lloyd Leonard, sister-Quanice Thomas, brother Earl Dean Leonard. Also, Ladon and Rodney’s beloved dog Hemingway.

The surviving family are Ladon’s three children- son, Daniel Shane Ross, daughter-in-law Candis Ross, and grandchild Hallee Ross of Harrah, Oklahoma, son George Leonard Ross II, daughter-in-law Susan Ross, and grandchild Logan Ross of Sparks, Oklahoma. Also, daughter Jamie Dawn Martin, son-in-law Shane Martin, and grandchildren Jackson Martin and Harrison Martin of Springfield, Missouri. She is also survived by her sister and brother-in-law Norma Jean Adams and Vic Adams of Shawnee, Oklahoma, sister Connie Sanders of Florida, and her brother Terrial Ray Leonard of Shawnee, Oklahoma.

We will be honoring Ladon with a celebration of life on July 13, 2023 at 3:00 pm at the Shawnee Community Center in Shawnee, Oklahoma with Interment following at the Dale Cemetery in Dale, Oklahoma. Arrangements will be directed by Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston, Oklahoma.
