Karen Kay (Gerken) DeVille

Karen Kay (Gerken) Deville was born July 30, 1943 in Inglewood, California to Jude and Neva (McClung) Gerken.  She passed away May 9, 2021 in Midwest City at the age of 77.

Karen grew up in California and Okeene, Oklahoma.  She married Robert Deville in 1961 and they raised 2 boys together.  She was a Christian woman who was proud to be from a farm in Oklahoma.  Karen was active in the ladies auxiliary of the VFW in Chandler.  She was an astrology enthusiast and held her Oklahoma family members in high regard.

Karen was preceded in death by her parents, Jude and Neva; husband, Robert Deville; son, Michael Deville; grandson, Justin Hanks; and brother, Mike Gerken.  Survivors include her son, Richard Deville of Midwest City; grandchildren Joshua Hanks and Jade Deville; (8) great-grandchildren, Josh, Jr., Jason, Jax, Jaden, Liam, Zoey, Legend and James; sister, Sharon Schmidt; brother, Dwayne Gerken; along with many other family and friends.

A graveside memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at the Collins Cemetery in Okeene, Oklahoma.  Arrangements were under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
