Jimmy Dale Crall was born near Hugo, Missouri September 30, 1933 to Wayne and Francis (Byler) Crall. He passed away May 5, 2021 in Oklahoma City at the age of 87.
Jim started school in Kendrick, Oklahoma where he completed 8 years of grade school. His family then moved to Chandler, where he graduated with the Chandler High School class of 1951. Following graduation, he proudly served 2 years in the United States Army following the Korean War.
In 1954, Jim and Betty (Leake) were united in marriage. They started life together by living the first year in Stuttgart, Germany. Upon returning to the states, they made their home in Del City and joined the First Baptist Church.
For the next 30 years, Jim worked in commercial construction, eventually owning his own company. Included in the buildings he completed were schools, commercial offices, retail stores, a library, and a hospital.
Upon retirement, he and Betty returned to Lincoln County. They bought a farm and built their home near Wellston. The remainder of his life, Jim enjoyed his family, life on the farm, raising cattle, and the beauty of nature. Jim will be dearly missed.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Wayne and Francis Crall; brothers, Don and Joe; sisters, Gene, Helen, Anna May. Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Betty Crall of the home; children, Nancy Leslie of Glenpool, Steve Crall and wife Malinda of Edmond; grandchildren, Nicole Leslie, Kyle Leslie; great-grandchildren, Kolson Leslie, Koreigh Leslie, Knoxson Leslie; along with other family and friends.
A graveside funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 8, 2021 at the New Zion Cemetery in Chandler. Arrangements are under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
