James Paul Douglas was born August 1, 1954 in Gilroy, California to Richard and Grace Douglas. He passed away to be with God on April 20, 2026 at the age of 71.
Jim leaves a legacy of love, friendship and respect with all who knew him. He was a big man, known to many of his friends as “Big Jim.” But he was a big teddy bear. He was a good husband, a steady father and Pop, and a friend any friend would like to have. Jim was a hard worker, an avid motorcyclist, a gun enthusiast and was liked by anyone who met him, everywhere he went.
He was born and raised in southern California, where he graduated from Carpinteria High School in 1972. Shortly after that he moved to Chandler with his parents. He worked in the concrete business, managing concrete plants and dispatching trucks. He retired a few years ago and has enjoyed working part-time delivering parts and enjoying his hobbies on his time off.
Jim is survived by his wife, Linda; Son Harley and his wife Adriana and their children Olivia, Mila, and Alana; daughter Jessica and her husband JJ and their children, Eli, Kylee, and Hayli, brothers Wayne and his wife Dee, Richard, and sisters, Shirley and Debbie Francen and her husband Rocky as well as many nieces and nephews.
A funeral will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, April 24, 2026 in the Lehman Funeral Home chapel with interment following at Oak Park Cemetery of Chandler. Arrangements are under the directions of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
