Jewell Delphene (Gallaher) Spence was born September 3, 1929 in Wellston to William Franklin and Olive Gertrude (Woodside) Gallaher.  She passed away March 17, 2024 in Midwest City at the age of 94.

Jewell was the oldest of 9 children, a Registered Nurse, Methodist and a Republican.  She married Rex Spence in 1945 and they raised 3 sons together.

Jewell was preceded in death by her parents, William and Gertrude Gallaher; sons, Gerald Spence, Jimmy Spence; sisters, Louise Ketron, Betty Porter; brothers, Ray Dean Gallaher, Freddie Gallaher.  Survivors include her son, Derald Spence of the home; 9 grandchildren, Rick, Scott, Krysti, Adrin, Ariel, Tiffany, Michael, Lindsey and Jacob; (7) great-grandchildren; (7) great-great-grandchildren.

Jewell requested there to be no service held and left her parting words, “See you in Heaven”.  Arrangements are under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
