Geneva Rae (Graham) McLain was born September 16, 1942 in Wellston to Raymond and Edna (Gilbert) Graham. She passed away March 3, 2023 in Wellston at the age of 80.
Geneva grew up in Wellston where she graduated with the Wellston Class of 1960. She married her high school sweetheart, Wayne McLain, September 1, 1960 and they raised 3 children together. Geneva worked at the Stroud National Bank for 36 years and was a lifelong member of the Wellston United Methodist Church.
Geneva enjoyed playing card games with her best friends, James and Theresa Murphy. She passed on her passion for Skip-Bo to her grandchildren who all still play often. Geneva enjoyed watching Thunder Basketball games and talking about their season with her grandchildren, of whom her life revolved around. She loved spending time with her family feeding them her baked goods.
Geneva was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Edna Graham, Grace (Bailey) Graham; husband of 57 years, Wayne McLain; and her sister-in-law, Linda McLain. Survivors include her children, Steve McLain and wife Nancy of Chandler, Mike McLain and wife Penny of Wellston, Angie Johnson and husband Greg of Edmond; 8 grandchildren, Wes, Kayla, Shane, Raechel, Caitie, Brinley, Remy and Rudy; 28 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; brother, Wayne Graham and wife Barbara of Forsyth, MO; brother-in-law, Ray McLain; along with other family and friends who will all miss her pecan pies and laughter.
Visitation will be held from noon till 8:00 p.m. with the family present to greet friends from 6:00 - 8:00. A funeral will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 7, 2023 in the Lehman Funeral Home Chapel with interment following in the Wellston Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
