Francis Eugene (Gene) Gragg of Agra was born April 4, 1941 and past from this life November 15, 2023 at the age of 82. Gene attended school at Kendrick before joining the Army. After being honorably discharged from the army in 1964, Gene lived in Boise City for a time before returning home to the family farm where he raised Poland China hogs and Brahma cattle. During this time, he worked on oil drilling rigs, pumped oil wells, owned and operated a mobile tire service, a water well drilling company and a bar. Gene married Sally Hoover on May 8, 1974. He had a trusted partner in Sally who would take care of the animals while he was working away from the farm. Gene continued running cattle until the last year of his life. 

Gene is proceeded in death by his wife Sally, his parents John and Violet, and his brother Bert. He is survived by his sister Dorothy and her husband Don Redden, numerous nieces and nephews, five stepchildren, eleven step-grandchildren, and many step-great grandchildren. 

A memorial service for Gene and Sally will be held at 3:00 p.m. Monday, December 4, 2023 at Lehman Funeral home in Wellston. Arrangements are under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
