Eugene Mullendore

Eugene Mullendore was born July 5, 1932 in Wellston to Newton and Ida (Lohman) Mullendore.  He passed away January 5, 2020 in Oklahoma City at the age of 87.

Eugene grew up in Wellston where he farmed for himself and many others.  He will be remembered for his unique ability to witch a water source.  He also had the ability to put together a great hay hauling crew, mostly due to his wife cooking for them.  Eugene loved his family and his work which he dedicated his life to.

Eugene was preceded in death by his parents, Newt and Ida Mullendore; infant son, Brian Mullendore; grandson, Michael Mullendore; brothers, Delbert Mullendore, Melvin Mullendore, Elmer Mullendore, Albert Mullendore, Jim Mullendore; sister, Ruth Danker, and two infant sisters.  Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Freda Mullendore of the home; children, Rickie Mullendore and his wife Gerri, Darrell Mullendore and his wife Kaye; (4) grandchildren, Tony, Vicky, Samantha, Chad; (6) great-grandchildren, Macasey, Addisyn, Dylan, Ariel, Eric, Brentley; brother, Walter Mullendore and wife Janell; along with a host of other family and friends.

A funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 8, 2020 in the Lehman Funeral Home chapel with Reverend Dewayne Settle officiating and interment following in the Wellston Cemetery.  Arrangements are under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
