Edna Mae (Dunnam) Bates

Edna Mae Bates was born June 11, 1921 in Spiro, Oklahoma to Martin Luther and Eva Mae (Bolt) Dunnam.  She passed away January 7, 2020 in Chandler at the age of 98.

Edna was a devoted Christian and a stanch Southern Baptist who now rests in the arms of Jesus Christ.  She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband of 39 years, Dan Allen Bates.  Survivors include her children, Danyne Robins, Barry Bates and wife Laureen, John Bates and wife Susie; (5) grandchildren, Shelly, Scott, April, Blane, Jody; (4) great-grandchildren, Salem, Donovan, Alyvia, Avery; (1) great-great-grandchild, Mateo along with other family and friends.

A visitation will be held from Noon to 5:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.  A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 10, 2020 at the First Baptist Church of Wellston with Reverend Dennis Osborn officiating, and interment following in the Perkins Cemetery in Perkins, Oklahoma.  Arrangements are under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
