William Edward (Eddie) White passed from this life on February 3, 2023 at home with his beloved son Mike at his side, he was 89.  Eddie was born September 24, 1933 to George and Rosie White.  His mother Rosie died when Eddie was three.  George later married Midgie and she raised Eddie as her own, until her death. 

Eddie graduated from Wellston High School and in 1953 and married Carole Singletory.  They had four children.  Mike White of Wellston, Oklahoma, Louis Kevin White (Karen), of LeBec, California, JoEllen Desch (Bob) of Lancaster, California and Kyle White (Tammy), of Kalispell, Montana.  Additionally, Donna Nutter became family.

Eddie and Carol divorced and Eddie later married Marie Hays.  They were married many years when Marie passed away.  Several years later Eddie and Rosie Wiegert became companions until her death in 2018.

Eddie lived in California as a ranch and dairy farmer prior to returning to Oklahoma.  He lived north of Wellston for 44 years and retired from the City of Edmond Sanitation Department in 1995.  He liked to ride his horses and spend time with his cows and donkeys.  He loved animals.  Eddie loved to go dancing and play drums.  His dad George, son Mike and wife Marie played as a band together until Marie’s passing.  His favorite music was Bluegrass.  He loved to camp and fish and so enjoyed the family camping trips.  Eddie worked hard his entire life and loved his farm. 

Eddie had stepchildren from his previous marriage to Marie Hays:  Sandra, Jackie, Teresa, and Patricia.  His stepchildren from Rosie Wiegert: Debbie Myers (Kenny), Brenda Cowan (Jimmy) and preceded in death, Mike Wiegert (Patsy).  His grandchildren and great grandchildren number many.  Eddie was a good father, grandfather and friend.  He will be missed greatly and remembered fondly by all who knew him.

A graveside funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 11, 2023 at the Little Cemetery in Seminole.  Arrangements are under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
