Donald Marion Christian was born February 13, 1936, in Chandler to Marion and Zella Mae (Quast) Christian.  He passed away January 22, 2025, in Oklahoma City at the age of eighty-eight.

Don grew up in Wellston where he attended school, graduating with the class of 1954. He was the town barber in Wellston later becoming a police officer for Oklahoma City where he worked the next 20 years until retirement in March of 1991. Don’s favorite pastime was golf, but he spent time visiting with friends at Bev’s, the local On-Cue.

Don was preceded in death by his parents, Marion and Zella Mae Christian; siblings, Sharon McWhorter, Lois Miller, and Glenn Ray Christian. Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Carlene (Green) Christian of the home; children, Dinah Fox and husband Walter of Norman, Carl Christian and wife Blythe of Choctaw; four grandchildren, Monica (Kael), Eric (Allie), Liafial, Eliyah; brother, James Christian and wife Debra of Shawnee; along with other family and friends.

Don’s family is hosting a private interment.  Arrangements are under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
