Dolores C (Goyke) Jachim

Dolores Catherine (Goyke) Jachim Dolores was born on August 5th 1925 in Chicago, IL to August “Gus” and Louise (Hilgers) and passed away peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, September 29th, 2018 in Meeker, Oklahoma at the age of 93.

Dolores is preceded in death by her loving husband Joseph “Joe” Jachim, her sister Bernice (Jack) Geier, brother August (Loretta) Goyke, sister Lavergne (Dick) Wood, brother Willard Goyke, and brother-in-law Ron Hodge. Dolores is survived by her children Deborah Jachim of Naperville, IL, Thomas (Laurie) Jachim of Chicago, IL, and Gerald Jachim of Chandler, OK.; grandchildren Joseph Dickinson-Jachim of Naperville, IL, Diana (Andy) Gierut of Lemont, IL, and Erik Jachim of Chicago Ridge, IL. Great-grandsons Jacob Gierut and Samuel Gierut; her sister Mary Hodge of Genoa, IL. along with many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Dolores graduated from Kelvin Park High School in 1943. She married Joseph Jachim on June 25, 1949 in Chicago, IL.  She worked for Illinois Bell, Montgomery Ward, and Schwinn Bicycle. It’s here that she met Joe, her future husband.  She was a member of the Schwinn Bowling league while she was employed there. She loved spending time with extended family, especially going to Gus and Mary Beach in Wauconda, IL. She would very much look forward, every summer, to the Goyke sibling’s family reunion.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 5, 2018 in Illinois with interment following in the Maryhill Cemetery in Niles, Illinois. The family would like to thank the Meeker Nursing Center for their care and dedication. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
