Danton Wesley Reed Doyle Black was born April 30, 1991 in Elk City, Oklahoma to Samual Lee Black and Ratheda Faye (Matthews) Gillis. He passed away May 8, 2021 in Oklahoma City at the age of 30.
Danton grew up in the Oklahoma City Metro and was a trained electrician. He loved his family and friends dearly. Danton loved music and was often quoting lyrics.
Danton was proceeded in death by his grandparents, Judy, Johnny, Gordon, Ginny (Doris); cousins, David Lee, Russ, and Tabitha; aunts, Sherri and Joy; and uncle Wesley.
Danton is survived by parents, Ratheda and Sam; step-mother, Nancy; sisters, Tessa and Rhiannon; brothers, Shane, Brad, and Sam T; grandmothers, Diana, Mel, and Virginia; nephews, Braden, Anthony, Kaden, and Liam; niece, Aria; aunts, Kathy, Charlene, Michelle, Molly, Krystal, and Teresa; best friend, Zac; and dog, Captain; along with many other family members and friends.
A memorial celebration will be held Saturday, June 5th, 2021 at the Hilton Garden Inn Rosewood Conference Room from 1pm CST – 5pm CST. Eulogies will begin at 2pm CST.
