Danny Dranger Thurston

Danny “Dan” Dranger Thurston passed away peacefully on May 30th, 2021 at his ranch in Wellston, OK. Dan was 58 years young at the time of his death. He was predeceased by his wife Erin Thurston, his father Larry Thurston, and mother Helen Sneed. He is survived by his sons Tyler and Conner Thurston, his daughter-in-law Nicole Thurston, his grandchildren Ellis and Ezra Thurston, and siblings Dale, Darren, Erin, Sam, Misty, and Cale. 

Dan was a character for the ages. He never met anyone he couldn’t talk to or anyone that wasn’t a friend. Dan enjoyed spending time with his boys and grandchildren. He enjoyed riding horses and listening to music. Dan will be thoroughly missed by everyone that got to know him. 

We may have lost a father, grandfather, son, brother and best friend but heaven has gained one of the best Cowboys to ever live.  Memorial contributions can be made in Dan’s honor to Blaze's Tribute Equine Rescue, at PayPal.me/blazesequine.

A private memorial service was held to honor Dan. Arrangements were under the direction of Lehman Funeral home of Wellston.
