Verlion Dale Moore was born April 20, 1939, in Carney to Marshall Ray and Goldie (Cotham) Moore.  He passed away July 3, 2025, surrounded by his family at the age of 86.

Dale married Gale Hensley on January 27, 1964.  He worked for the John Cassidy Company of Stroud as a welder where he retired in 2014 with over 30 years.

Dale was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Onita Barker; and brother, Johnny Moore. Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Gale Moore; children, Jerry Moore and wife Patty, Raymond Moore and wife Sandy, Tammy and husband Sean Grammer, Mary Brown; 3 grandchildren which he raised, Austin Brown, Bradley Brown, Hunter Brown; as well as 9 other grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; siblings, Janie Campbell, Pasty Goodnight; sister-in-law, Mary Moore; siblings, Elton Ray Moore, George “Shorty” Moore, Eddie Moore; along with other family and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at Lehman Funeral Home.
