Clifford Alford was born in Wellington, TX on July 12, 1950 to Paris Wilson Alford and Juanita Jewel Zeck.  He graduated Carney High School and married Carrie Dee Bailey on August 3rd 1968 and passed away at age 74 on his birthday, July 12, 2024 at his home in Carney.  Two children were born to them which were their pride and joy and reason., Denise Renee Alford Theroux (Paul) and Clifford Kyle Alford (Amy Hale).

The family lived and worked in Kingfisher several years, Clifford  established his own business of dirt excavating with heavy equipment and worked heavily with the Department of Soil and Conservation and later became involved with the wheat farming of that area.

Moving the family back home to Carney, Clifford worked for UPS in Oklahoma City and later in the asphalt and road construction industry

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Truman P. Alford and brothers-in-law, Ricky Dale Hillhouse, Rick White and Bill Jenny.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Carrie, of the home and children Denise Theroux (Paul) and Kyle (Amy) of Carney. 8 grandchildren, Matt Theroux (Bailey) of Carney. Rachel Hock (Joe) of Shawnee, Shae Wakely (J.R.) of Stillwater, Kylie of Stillwater, Sadie of Stillwater, Max, Kimberlynne and Kaden.  2 great grandchildren, Elijah Hock and Olivia Hock. Sisters Lynda Kay Smith of South Carolina,  Penny Clark (Larry) of Elk City, Nannette White of Amarillo and Tinia Adams (Steve) of Amarillo, and sister-in-law Ginger Williams Murphy Alford of Sand Springs .  Many nieces and nephews and other relatives.

He is greatly loved and will be greatly missed.

A private service for his family was held at the Carney Cemetery Monday, July 15, 2024.
