Carol Mendenhall was born July 79, 1952 to Loy and Daphne (Murdock) Atkinson. She passed away April 24, 2025 in Oklahoma City at the age of 72.

Carol was raised in California, got married and moved to Oklahoma, where she lived for the rest of her life. Carol will be remembered for all the hard work and sacrifices she made to provide and protect her three daughters. She loved to talk and would never turn down the chance to do a little gossiping. She loved her grandchildren and would spoil them every chance she had.  

Carol is preceded in death by her parents, Loy and Daphne Atkinson. Survivors include her three daughters, Elisha L and husband Bobby Martin of Stroud, Rita A Mendenhall of Wellston, Ginger E Mendenhall of Carney; five grandchildren, Trey, Dalton, Austin, Urban, and Symphony; two great-grandchildren, Dystyn, and Braylee; her brother Vance Atkinson and wife, Lynn of Bedford, Texas.

A celebration of Carol’s life will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday May 10, 2025 at the Carney Assembly of God Church. Arrangements are under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
