Robert Wayne Butler was born August 25, 1955 in Shawnee to Elard Lee Butler and Patricia Holt. He passed away March 15, 2022 in Shawnee at the age of 66.
As a young man, Bob enjoyed baseball to which he both played and coached. After his playing days Bob stepped up to the plate as a loving husband and father, swinging for the fences every day to provide for his family.
Bob and Laveda were married on August 31st 1973 and for forty-eight years displayed an exemplary marriage filled with a deep devotion and unending love for each other and their children. He outwardly showed his love for Jesus by upholding the values of the Lord, by reflecting the heart, wisdom, and nature of God to those around him.
During his downtime he enjoyed spending time in the outdoors camping, fishing, or the occasional bird hunt. He was a talented musician and enjoyed playing the guitar and singing while gathered around the family table, and often played the drums and guitar during church services. These were the moments that he cherished the most.
