Audra Lorene Schmidt was born April 15, 1924 to Joe and Emma (Crookham) Musgrove in La Junta, Colorado.  She passed away July 3, 2022 in Wellston at the age of 98.

Audra loved her family and her church.  She was a fantastic seamstress who made all her children’s clothing by hand, some even from feed sacs.  She was a crafty lady who enjoyed Christmas and other holidays.  She raised many plants and loved hosting company.  Audra was a great cook, often cooking vegetables straight from the garden and she always made a desert.

Audra was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Emma Musgrove; husband of 67 years, Louie Schmidt; son, Louie Don Schmidt; daughter, Stella Louise Fisher; sons-in-law, Ben Pellerin, Bennie Thorpe, Jimmy Fisher, and Robert Butler.  Survivors include her daughters, Leona Thorpe, Laveda Butler both of Wellston; nephew, Calvin Musgrove of Blanchard; (12) grandchildren, Larry Fisher (Kyla), Tammy Copeland (Bobby), Robert Fisher, Teresa Day, Christopher Fisher, Connie Rowlett (Jason), Rex Pellerin, Dale Pellerin, Roy Pellerin, Stacie Hancock (John), Joshua Butler (Kristina), Renee Dougherty (Charlie); many great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, other family and friends.

A funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, July 7, 2022 in the Lehman Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Reverend Chris Griffith and interment following in the Lutheran Cemetery.  Arrangements are under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
