Our Lord Jesus Christ said “and the Greatest of These is Love”. The Apostles were “fisherman of men.” Our mother was an incredible fisherman. She loved the preparation to go, catch, clean, fry and share with all her friends and family. I am sure many of you remember her passion and enjoyment of catching each fish. Mother also loved to work, garden, yard work, quilting, fencing, feeding cows, walking, picking pecans and anything to keep busy. Memaw loved her children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews, sisters-in-law, Marlene Slavik and Agnes Slavik and numerous friends.
We are incredibly grateful for the care and love she received from the Harrah Nursing Center where she met and loved many friends. Memaw was the absolute best grandmother ever. She loved her family, a fierce love, and the core of her existence. She loved her babies and they loved her. We all loved her and will carry that love with us each day. We “all” must shine her light of Christ and share it every day!
A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 am Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Chandler with interment following in the Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
