Amelia Belle (Smith) Giles was born May 31, 1925 in Oklahoma City to Jesse and Edna (Elver) Smith.  She passed away June 17, 2021 in Chandler at the age of 96.

Amelia was 1 of 5 children.  She married Lloyd Giles in 1945 and they raised their daughter together.  She was a lifelong Christian and member of Trinity Baptist Church in Wellston and later Highland Hills Baptist Church in Oklahoma City.

Amelia was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Edna Smith; husband of 62 years, Lloyd Giles; siblings, Jesse Smith, Benjamin Smith, Lilly Vick, and Billy Smith; husband, Lloyd Giles.  Survivors include her daughter, Susan Shultz and her husband Jerry of Texas along with a bouquet of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A graveside memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 23, 2021 at the Wellston Cemetery with Reverend Lane Buckley officiating.  Arrangements are under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
