Alma Deloris (Davis) Huff

Alma Deloris Huff was born on July 11, 1929, in Wellston, Oklahoma to Walter “Pat” Hiram and Sarah Ethel (Prough) Davis.  She passed away on Monday, October 15, 2018, at her home in Wellston, Oklahoma, at the age of 89.

Alma grew up in Wellston where she graduated with the Wellston High School class of 1947.  She was a Wellston staple who could remember local history like it was yesterday.  She was a longtime member of the Assembly of God Church and enjoyed baking, gardening, quilting, sewing, canning and bragging about her grandchildren.

Alma was preceded in the death by her parents; four sisters and their husbands; one brother; and her beloved husband of 66 years, Ray Huff.  Survivors include her children, Deborah and her husband, Dale Hawbaker of Woodward, Betty Jo Walton of Norman, Steve Huff and his wife Betty of Wellston; four grandchildren, Tammy, Brian and wife, Christa, Gabe and wife, Miranda, Jacob; three great-grandchildren, Micaiah, Eziah, Dezikiah; brother, Billie Davis and his wife, Jymay; sister-in-law, Nathelda Faye Davis, along with other family and many friends.

Alma’s visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. with her family present from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at the funeral home.  A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 18, 2018, at the Assembly of God Church in Wellston with Reverend Dewayne Settle and Reverend Doyle Seeley officiating. Interment will follow in the Wellston Cemetery.  Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
