James Thomas Bowen, Tom, was born June 29, 1941 in Huntington, West Virginia to James and Delores Christine (Morrison) Bowen.  He passed away on Sunday, June 25, 2017 in Chandler at the age of 75.

Known to his friends as Honest Tom, he grew up in Huntington, West Virginia on Bowen Ridge.  He served his country proudly in the United States Air Force stationed at Tinker Air Force Base where he met his wife Billie Jean (Davis).  They were married on September 29, 1962.  Tom was a firefighter for Tinker Air Force Base and later owned and operated his own car dealership.  He enjoyed racing motorcycles and drag racing when he was young.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 54 years, Billie Jean Bowen; and brother, Roger Bowen.  Survivors include his sons, Randy Bowen and his wife Diana of Edmond, Daryl Bowen and his wife Kristi of Chandler; (5) grandchildren, Jeromey, Lindsay, Hunter, Caleb, Baylee; great-grandson, Riley; brother, Eddie Bowen and his wife Patty of Huntington, West Virginia along with other family members and many friends.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 28, 2017 in the Lehman Funeral Home chapel with interment following at 2:00 p.m. at the Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Stonewall, Oklahoma.  Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
