Peggy Sue (Neal) Daniels was born on June 1, 1944 in Chandler, Oklahoma to John Henry Neal and Annie Mae (Barnett) Neal. She was the fourteenth child born to this union. Peggy departed this life on Thursday, May 30, 2019 in Stroud, Oklahoma at the age of 74.
Peggy attended Douglass School in Chandler, Oklahoma. She married Bill Thompson at an early age which later they divorced. She later married Leonard Daniels from Prague, Oklahoma. Peggy was a member of the Mt Calvary First Baptist Church, Chandler, OK. She worked numerous jobs in her lifetime. One of her jobs was at the Diner Mills Sewing Factory in Chandler and she loved to sew.
Peggy loved playing cards, dominoes and working her Crossword puzzle books. She would call her sister Bobbie every day or several times throughout the day, matter of fact she loved talking on the phone with her nieces, nephews and her friends. Peggy was never blessed with her own children, but we were blessed to have her as our Aunt because she helped raise many of her nieces and nephews. Peggy had several friends that she would go pick up and drive them where ever they need to go. She did this every month.
Preceding her in death were her parents John and Annie Neal; her husband Leonard Daniels, her eight brothers and five sisters. Peggy leaves to cherish her memories her only living sister, Barbara J. (Neal) Long of Chandler, Oklahoma, several nieces, nephews other relatives and dear friends.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 8, 2019 at the First Baptist Church of Chandler with Reverend Russell Holland officiating and interment following in the Clearview Cemetery in Chandler. Arrangements are under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
