Colonel Robert Nolan Chase was born July 17, 1935 in Carney to Amos and Delpha (Sadler) Chase. He passed away June 24, 2019 at his home in Carney at the age of 83.
During this life, he was a son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great-grandfather, cousin, uncle, friend, a rancher and an United States Army Colonel who retired after a very distinguished career of over 33 years of service. Those who loved him and knew him best will remember him for his sincerity, kindness, big heart, generosity, faith in God, ability to tell and laugh at his own jokes, twinkling blue eyes, story-telling, love of family, interest in genealogy and history, his patriotism, and loyalty. He will be deeply missed. His family wishes for those who knew Nolan to celebrate his life by continuing to appreciate all of the precious moments God grants us with each other, for Nolan understood that life is a gift and he enjoyed it.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 29, 2019 at the Successful Word Church with Reverend Roy Hayes officiating and interment following in the Carney Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
