Dearest Jim, It has been many years since I have seen you but your mother and I talk often about our families. I have very fond memories of you and your brothers on the farm. I remember you as a tender soul with wide eyes and a curious spirit. Because of this, I know your heart must be broken with the loss of Nita. Please know my prayers and thoughts are with you and will continue to be as you walk this unfamiliar path of sadness. Please remember God wants to walk with you in your time of grief. Nita Lynn (Davis) Levy was indeed a very special woman that intentionally helped shape the world into a better place every opportunity she found. I've never met another that could honestly celebrate, with so much joy, the simplest of life's offerings. I am incredibly thankful for the past 11 1/2 year's union we shared. To everyone that has posted support, sent flowers or lit a candle in her name, your comments are CPR to my broken heart as I will always carry the burden of an aching and empty space that had been filled by God's very unique plan and by one nearly perfect woman. I will miss you always, my love, my lady...R.I.P. P.S. I've posted a collection of some of my favorite memories...enjoy!

I wanted to express my heartfelt condolences to all of Nita's family. For right now, there's no detour around grief, no shortcut through mourning. However, 2 Cor.4:7 says that God can give us, "... power beyond what is normal ", to go from one day to the next. This does not mean that we no longer cry, or that we forget. It means we recover. We recover because of our hope. Jesus Christ talked about our hope in John 5:28 which says, "...all those in the memorial tomb will hear his voice and come out ". Jesus was referring to the resurrection. That is our amazing hope! The Bible likens our hope to an anchor. Just like an anchor stabilizes a ship, our hope stabilizes us and keeps us from drowning in overwhelming sadness. 2 Cor.1:3 describes our Creator as, "... the God of all comfort ". One way that God comforts us is by moving people who care about us to give us words of encouragement that we need to hear. May the God of comfort be your comfort now, during this time of sorrow. My heart goes out to Jim and all of Nita's family and friends. She was a very sweet person who definitely loved her dogs. I had the privilege to make a few camping trips to Moab when Nita joined us and you could definitely see the enjoyment she had in being in God's nature. I know that she is in his kingdom now.

It is so hard to believe that Nita has moved on from this world. She was always a joyous and generous spirit, which I soon learned was a family trait. My heart is aching for you all.
