Marjorie (Myers) Mendez

Marjorie ‘Margie’ (Myers) Mendez was born August 5, 1933 in Fayetteville, Arkansas to Collin and Ednes (Anderson) Myers.  She passed went to be with her Lord on December 3, 2019 in Edmond at the age of 86. 

She spent most of her childhood in Cave Springs, Arkansas but lived the majority of her life in San Antonio, Texas. She was compassionately cared for by her youngest daughter, Raquel for the last year of her life in Edmond, Oklahoma. Margie loved the Lord and was a devoted homemaker and prayer warrior to the very end.

Margie is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Raul in 2005 and her brothers’ Robert Myers and Collin Myers, Jr.; survivors include her son Raul Matthew Mendez; daughters Frances Alonso, Patty Ponce, Bertha Mendez, Michelle Mendez, Marci Solis, Raquel Chisholm; (17) Grandchildren and (10) great-grandchildren.

Margie will return to San Antonio where she will be laid to rest with her late husband, Raul Munoz Mendez in a 9:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 11, 2019 graveside service in the Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.

A memorial service will follow at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, December 11, 2019 at the Faith Outreach Center International in San Antonio.  Local arrangements were under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
